The Lodi Association of Realtors® will be hosting their CanTree Charity Luncheon next Wednesday and it looks like it’s going to be a fun time. The event will start with the “Can Opener Luncheon” at 11:30am at the LAR Conference Room and will be followed by a can stacking contest and a raffle drawing for 2 prizes of $2,000 each and 6 prizes of $1,000 each.

Lodi Association of Realtors® Installation banquet tickets are now on sale! The event will be hosted at Woodbridge Golf & Country Club and will begin with a social at 11:30AM following lunch at 12:00 noon on January 9th, 2009.

PMZ agents Terrie Green, Terry Hedrick-Faught, Carolyn Stilphen & Dan Holly helped the Lodi Association of Realtors raise money for local charities at Woodbridge Country Club last Wednesday. Over 75 agents came out to help raise money and enjoy a game of golf and a dinner barbeque.

Lodi Association of Realtors weekly marketing meeting will be held at the Masonic Lodge in Modesto off of Rose Avenue (map).  this week’s host is Mortgage Lenders association of Stanislaus County.

Speakers will beMary Quten and Sandy Wolfe.  Come by from 8:00-8:30 and network with fellow agents and affiliates; make new contacts. Speakers will be presenting from 8:30-8:45 regarding updates on the City of Modesto Parks and Recreation Department.

From 8:45-9:00 there will be an open forum for property discussion which is a great opportunity to advertise your new listing(s).  You can also ask questions or make suggestions based on your want and needs and update other Realtors® on any fabulous properties you have that are still available.

The Lodi Association of Realtors® is in its 86th year of operation. It serves a membership of more than 1,600 as a service and support organization to help individual Realtors® and Affiliates. LAR is a member of the California Association of Realtors® (CAR) and the National Association of Realtors® (NAR). LAR currently has four Directors that serve on the state association. It also is an Administrative Office for the Metrolist Multiple Listing service and currently has three directors that serve on its board. LAR operates a full supply real estate store which carries forms, all the necessary tools industry professionals require, and continuing education options for area licensees.

The Lodi Association of Realtors® (LAR) now qualifies for 7 California Association of Realtors® (C.A.R.) Directors – beginning in 2009. (Previously had 4.) This is the result of the growth in their membership.

Four of the directorships are filled by the President, President-elect, Vice President and immediate Past President. Two shall be filled by a member of LAR who have been a C.A. R. Director, of an Association, in the past; and one shall be filled by a member of the Board of Directors.

Other criteria:

• Must be a member in good standing of LAR.
• Must attend the 3 C.A.R. Director’s Meetings held at various locations throughout the State. (Per diem, travel & hotel expenses are provided by LAR.)
• Must be willing to attend, if requested, the LAR Board of Director’s meetings.
• Must report to the membership via the Marketing Meetings in Lodi, Galt & Modesto after each C.A.R. meeting.

A letter requesting consideration for the appointment should be submitted to LAR by Friday, June 27th, 2008. The Board of Directors will make the appointments at the July 1st, 2008, Director’s Meeting.  Send inquiries to lodiaor@sbcglobal.net.
